Mary Ficek, CLD(CBI), CBC(CBI)

Birth is a highly spiritual and empowering journey. Every pregnant and laboring woman deserves to have the birth she envisions.

As a doula, my goal is to support and educate about options. You get to make all the decisions. Regardless of how you choose to birth, I support you physically, emotionally and spiritually once you make that decision.

My hope is to instill confidence in my clients, give you evidence-based information, and support you so that you can achieve an empowered birth experience.

My doula journey began after the birth of my daughter. I credit my doula for igniting the fire in me to explore birth options and providing information to me that dispelled my fears of birth and to trust my body.

Training & Certifications

I am trained through DONA International, a Certified Labor Doula (CLD) and a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor (CBC) through Childbirth International (CBI). I am trained in Spinning Babies techniques that assist with a more comfortable pregnancy and an easier birth.

I am a Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula through ProDoula

I am currently pursuing certification in Childbirth Education through Childbirth International.

I am also a graduate of The University of Florida with a degree in communications.
